American Traveler is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, starting November 7, 2026. The position is a night-shift travel role with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total), running from 18:30 to 07:00. The therapist will rotate through the Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical, ICU, PACU, Ambulatory, and stepdown units, providing care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients at a 1:10 patient ratio. The facility uses Epic EMR. There are 2 openings for this assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care across multiple units: ED, Medical Surgical, ICU, PACU, Ambulatory, and stepdown
• Care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
• Perform oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and breathing treatments
• Conduct bedside pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and bedside bronchoscopies
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs) in the ED
• Manage ventilators including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Assist with intubation, perform extubation, and provide tracheostomy care
• Troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and other ventilator issues
