Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,158 per week

About the role

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist position in Saint Albans, Vermont. 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. Immediate start for professionals with recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (some references note 2 years).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• NBRC credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist).
• PALS and/or NRP may be required depending on assignment.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 lbs routinely; patient handling may require up to 50 lbs.
• Vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
