American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a night shift assignment requiring RRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work within a hospital Respiratory Therapy department covering unit, step-down, and floor assignments
• Manage average caseload of 8 ventilated patients per unit assignment; floor assignments cover 3-4 floors
• Perform 2-3 intrahospital transports (CT, MRI, Specials) per shift on average
• Operate Servo i ventilators, V60 BiPAP, and iStat for ABG analysis
• Provide direct patient care including Respiratory Care and Hyperbaric Medicine procedures across all facility areas
• Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response alerts with timely, appropriate documentation
• Document and maintain patient records, charts, and reports accurately and promptly
• Exercise sound clinical judgment and assessment skills to guide patient care and communicate with caregivers
• Participate in respiratory care educational activities and departmental meetings
• Maintain a professional image and strong customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Current RRT certification
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• State license as required
• Specialized training for Pulmonary Function Testing, Methacholine Challenges, Hyperbaric Medicine, NICU care, PICU care, and Asthma Education where applicable

Schedule

• Night shift hours: 19:00–07:30
• 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend rotation
• No call requirements

Pay

Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to
