Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,123 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a position in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role is for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) with an immediate start date of October 12, 2026, for a 13‑week travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient moving or lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Possess specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• Current NBRC‑RRT certification.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS and/or NRP certification may be required depending on the assignment area.

Schedule
