Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,096 per week
About the role
Focus Staff is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment in Arlington, Virginia. The position involves providing quality patient care during the COVID-19 crisis as a member of the Respiratory Team, developing and ensuring patient plans of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists. The assignment starts 11/16/2026 with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts (3x12 schedule).
Responsibilities
- Evaluating patient and recommending a treatment plan
- Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
- Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
- Performing timely and accurate documentation
- Promoting continuous quality improvement
- Teaching and counseling patients/families
Requirements
- Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist
- Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification
- BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families
- At least 2 years of work experience
- Phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety

Pay
Pay depends on location and experience; a very competitive package is offered. The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
