Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients
• Explaining treatments
• Operating ventilatory and other respiratory equipment
• Performing chest physiotherapy
• Suctioning
• Conducting monitoring and diagnostic tests (EKG, pulmonary function studies, chest x-ray reviews)
• Aiding with procedures (bronchoscopy, chest tube placement)
• Performing tracheostomy care, arterial punctures, and emergency resuscitation following BLS and ACLS guidelines
• Proper documentation
• Communication with physicians
• Equipment maintenance and monitoring
• Accurate charging records

Requirements

• Valid respiratory therapist license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Pay and Schedule

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
