Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
North Carolina Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred, and required for any staff caring for neonates
US SSN and DOB required for consideration
One professional reference required (two required if from Florida or Missouri)

Details
Position is based in the Respiratory Services department of an 854-bed Level II trauma center and regional referral hospital
Hospital serves as the region's only comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU, and children's hospital with pediatric subspecialists
Day shift hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
13-week contract
Patient ratios range from 10–25 patients
Day shift staffing includes 15–20 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines
Equipment used includes GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant/peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilator, V60 non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices
EMR: Cerner
Float required to all critical care units and floors
At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule required

Provides respiratory therapy services across adult, pediatric, and neonatal service lines
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
