Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,809 per week

About the role

Focus Staff is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week contract assignment in Newark, OH. The position starts 11/09/2026, runs 36 hours per week on a 12‑hour day shift (3×12 schedule). This is a travel/contract role to support patient care during the COVID‑19 crisis. As a member of the respiratory team, you will develop and ensure the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists. Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommending a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Performing timely and accurate documentation
• Promoting continuous quality improvement
• Teaching and counseling patients/families

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Current CPR or BCLS certification
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
• At least 2 years of experience
• Phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety
• Compassionate and sensitive demeanor

Pay

Pay depends on location and experience. The pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
