Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Asheville, NC
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Job Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients in a critical care environment. This position involves working with both adult and pediatric service lines, utilizing advanced respiratory equipment and EMR systems to ensure high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities: Deliver respiratory therapy and related treatments to critically ill patients. Monitor and assess patient responses to respiratory therapy. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and non-invasive devices. Document patient information and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Valid North Carolina Respiratory License.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
