Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,682 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Nashville, Tennessee. We're looking for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate travel position opening in Nashville, TN. The right Peds-RRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times.
• Possess specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• NBRC-RRT certification.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS and NRP certifications may be required in some areas.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
