Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,570 per week

About the role

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist position in Richmond, Virginia. 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. Immediate start. Requires at least one year of recent acute‑care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedural guidelines.
• Collaborate with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
• Stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods; lift up to 20 lb routinely and up to 50 lb when moving patients.
• Possess specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent acute‑care experience (2 years preferred per requirements list).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• PALS and NRP may be required depending on assignment.
• NBRC credential (RRT).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay & Schedule

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Schedule: 12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours/week.
