Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,386 per week

American Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Irving, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ventilator management and weaning for neonatal and adult patients (RT)
• Perform routine airway management, including emergency airway procedures
• Conduct blood gas analyses and interpret ABG results
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate care plans effectively
• Apply code blue, trauma, STEMI response protocols
• Document and charge for therapy provided
• Communicate with physicians

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy (RT)
• Clinical management experience for adult vent patients
• Experience with vent weaning guidelines
• Trach care management
• Emergency and standard airway care for all patient populations
• EKG procedures
• Blood gas analysis and ABG sampling techniques
• RT medication administration
• RT plan of care, assessment, and progress evaluation
• Oxygen therapy proficiency
• Code Blue, Trauma, STEMI response
• Documentation and charge for therapy provided
• Physician communication skills
• Safety standards and checklist completion
• Infection prevention standards
• Valid TX state license
• NBRC RRT certification

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications required

Pay, Schedule, and Benefits

• Pay range to be discussed with recruiter
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
• Rotating weekends

7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Rotating Weekends)

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
