Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,309 per week

About the role

Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) travel position in Panama City, Florida. 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (posting also notes 2 years may be required).
• Current NBRC‑RRT certification.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• PALS and NRP may be required depending on the assignment.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely; patient handling may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Required vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
