Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,079 per week

About the role

We're looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Springfield, TN. The right RT should have 1 year of recent acute care experience. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for the patient being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• NBRC certification (Registered Respiratory Therapist).
• PALS and NRP may be required depending on assignment area.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Qualifications

Must possess the specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
