Responsibilities

• Treat patients in emergency situations, recognizing and addressing life-threatening problems promptly.
• Work in various settings including hospital emergency rooms, ambulances, urgent care centers, and sports arenas.
• Treat a wide range of medical conditions from common illnesses to severe injuries.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of current work experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Maine State Healthcare Provider license or willingness to obtain one.

Certifications Needed

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• STABLE (Statewide Telecommunicator Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• TNCC (National Transportation Conference Committee)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
