Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Overview

Sentara Careplex Hospital located in Hampton, Virginia is hiring a Traveler for a Temporary Full Time Registered Nurse Day Shift position in the Emergency Department!

Education

• Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) ACLS PALS NIH Stroke Scale

Experience

• Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN ER experience

Department/Unit Overview

Sentara CarePlex Hospital Emergency Department is focused on providing exceptional emergency service to patients. The Emergency Department consists of 43 beds, including 11 fast-track beds for patients with shorter lengths of stay. Emergency physicians are board-certified. All emergency nurses undergo specialized training in emergency care and have received Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric certifications.

Primary Duties

• Assessing/admitting patients
• Rounding checks
• Giving medications
• Talking with family members
• Being responsible for the overall care of your patients
