Travel Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, lab results, and cardiac rhythms, and identify potential risks.
• Administer medications, manage patients with telemetry and complex conditions, and provide post-surgical care.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, participate in rounds, and communicate patient status.
• Educate patients and families about recovery, treatments, and lifestyle modifications.
• Accurately document nursing interventions and patient outcomes in electronic health records.
• Follow safety protocols, infection control procedures, and respond promptly to emergencies, including performing advanced life support.
• Support team efforts, mentor less experienced staff, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current RN license with experience in acute or intermediate care settings.
• Strong assessment, monitoring, and emergency response skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities.
• Knowledge of infection control, documentation standards, and safety protocols.
