Travel Registered Nurse PCU

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team for a 13-week travel assignment. This opportunity is ideal for a dependable, adaptable RN who is comfortable caring for higher-acuity patients and thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment. Candidates must maintain a permanent residence outside of Arizona and must not reside in Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to PCU patients.
• Monitor patients with complex and changing medical conditions.
• Assess patient status, recognize changes, and promptly escalate concerns.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary services, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care needs.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and patient-safety requirements.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Recent PCU/Progressive Care nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Adaptability to new hospital environments, policies, and workflows.
• Must be a true travel nurse with a permanent residence outside of Arizona.
• Must be available for the full 13-week assignment.
• Day and night shift availability.
