Travel Registered Nurse Obstetrics Job

Overview

Registered Nurse – Obstetrics, traveling to Chanute, Kansas. Start date 08/03/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay: $2,140–$2,250 per week. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: Critical Access Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients during night shifts
• Monitor fetal status and maternal vitals; perform fetal monitoring and respond to non-reassuring tracings
• Assist with deliveries and newborn care; provide routine postpartum assessments and discharge planning
• Administer medications and monitor for complications per orders; manage pain control and patient education
• Document care in the Cerner EMR; maintain accurate charts and seamless handoffs with the care team
• Floater to MedSurg as needed when census requires, while maintaining patient safety and continuity of care

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kansas or a multi-state license recognized by Kansas
• Certifications: Fetal Monitoring, AHA NRP, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS
• Delivery room experience; prior MedSurg experience
• Cerner EMR proficiency
• Ability to work 3x12 night shifts and float to MedSurg as needed
