Travel Registered Nurse Newborn Nursery Job

Travel Registered Nurse – Newborn Nursery assignment in a hospital-based newborn/SCN unit integrated with labor and delivery in Concord, New Hampshire.

About the role

13-week travel contract starting 08/24/2026. Night shift: three 12-hour shifts per week. Float to postpartum or pediatrics as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct neonatal nursing care, including support during perinatal events for surgeons and obstetric teams.
• Assist with deliveries and participate in neonatal resuscitation, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of newborns.
• Establish and manage IV access in neonates, administer medications, and support respiratory therapies (e.g., CPAP) and surfactant administration.
• Support enteral feeding, monitor intake and hydration, document progress, and manage growth parameters.
• Monitor and manage neonatal withdrawal symptoms; coordinate comprehensive newborn care with the team.
• Float to postpartum or pediatrics as needed while adhering to unit standards.
• Cerner documentation experience preferred but not required.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in NICU or Level 2 SCN.
• Previous NICU or SCN experience required; postpartum experience desirable but not required.
• Adequate ability to assist in deliveries and neonatal procedures (IV starts, CPAP, tube feeds, etc.).
• Willingness to float to postpartum or pediatrics and work night shifts in a fast-paced neonatal unit.

Pay

Weekly pay range: $2,617–$2,745.
