Role and Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for a group of patients, providing specialized nursing care.
- Document patient responses, monitor physiological data, and observe manifestations.
- Administer medications, initiate and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
- Absorb and assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Communicate care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions to patients and families; delegate tasks to support staff as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current RN License (state-issued or multistate compact).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification within 6 months.
- Knowledge of nursing practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, and evaluate nursing services; work independently after orientation.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
- Experience in IR or procedural settings as part of a team.
