Travel assignment in Utica, NY beginning 08/17/2026 for 13 weeks.

Schedule

  • 40 guaranteed hours per week
  • 8-hour day shifts, five days per week

Pay

Weekly pay ranges from $2,665 to $2,767.

About the role

Focus on outpatient infusion and chemotherapy administration for adult and geriatric patients. Use EPIC for documentation and coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and other IV therapies per physician orders in the outpatient infusion unit
  • Monitor patient status, vital signs, and lab values; promptly recognize and respond to adverse reactions
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage infusion pumps (e.g., Alaris) and elastomeric devices
  • Document care, therapies, and patient education in the electronic health record (EPIC)
  • Verify medication administration and reconcile orders with the Omnicell system and related devices
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, and unit staff to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care
  • Provide age-appropriate care for adult and geriatric patients and support patients through treatment-related effects

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in New York
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Chemotherapy certification required
  • Minimum of one year of experience in outpatient infusion
  • Experience with outpatient infusion workflows, chemotherapy administration, and related safety protocols
  • Proficiency with EPIC or similar EMR, Omnicell, and communication systems (Ascom); experience with glucometers
  • Familiarity with common infusion equipment (Alaris pumps, elastomeric pumps)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient infusion setting and to float when needed within scope
