We’re looking for aHospice RN – Regional Support to join our team. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide direct care to patients and support to families, while also serving as a floating clinician—temporarily assigned to different hospice branches based on census needs or staffing gaps. As a Hospice RN – Regional Support, You Will Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care for hospice patientsManage and implement individualized plans of careSupport and lead interdisciplinary team members (LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, etc.)Assess and address patients’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental needsAccurately document all care provided and ensure compliance with hospice protocolsEducate families and caregivers on care instructions, medications, and safetyParticipate in the on-call rotation and provide after-hours care as neededCollaborate with physicians, referral sources, and the care teamAssist with referrals, regulatory documentation, and payer complianceTravel to various Gentiva hospice locations as assigned to fill urgent needs Schedule & Travel This role typically follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional on-call responsibilities. Travel is required and may include: Option 1: Overnight travel required to cities within a 100-mile radius.Option 2: Frequent overnight travel to multiple states is required.Option 3: Regional travel with overnight stays based on assignment needs. About You A company fleet car is provided for eligible employees. Qualifications – What You’ll Bring Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of employmentMinimum of 1 year of RN experience (hospice, home health, acute care, long-term care, oncology or other high acuity setting)Current CPR certificationValid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation Preferred Experience (Not Required) Hospice and end-of-life nursing experienceSkilled in clinical assessments and compassionate communicationStrong critical thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skillsComfortable working in varied environments with shifting needsProficient in documentation and electronic health recordsCalm and supportive in crisis situations; skilled at family engagement Compensation may vary within the salary range provided based on several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s location, experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications and department equity. Gentiva provides associates with a comprehensive benefits and total rewards package, of which base pay is just one piece.
