Travel assignment in a hospital-based Emergency Department in Clifton Springs, New York. The ED has an 11-bed unit and a separate CPEP behavioral health space.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to ED patients across ages, including triage, assessment, and ongoing management
- Maintain airway, monitor vitals, and provide ventilator care as needed; administer IV therapies and vasopressors; manage blood products
- Perform EKG/12-lead interpretation and participate in STEMI/Stroke care protocols; monitor for rapid deterioration
- Provide procedural support and monitoring during sedation; manage behavioral health crises within the CPEP space
- Collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Security; coordinate discharges, transfers, and documentation in EPIC
- Float as needed to CPEP when staffed; uphold patient safety, accurate charting, and appropriate handoffs
Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand at submission
- Epic charting experience required
- Minimum 1 year ED RN experience; charge experience preferred
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Additional/preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC, TRUST, CPIM
- First-time travelers accepted; candidates within 75 miles of the site are not eligible for submission
- Community hospital ED experience preferred
Pay
Weekly pay: $2,527-$2,618 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.
Schedule
Shift: 4x12-hour rotating (Mids/Nights). Contract duration: 13 weeks (possible extension). Start date: 08/17/2026.
