Travel Registered Nurse Cath Lab Job

- Weekly pay: $2,271–$2,402 per week

- Contract type: Travel – Temporary Assignment
- Setting: Hospital cath lab in a high-acuity environment
- Orientation and modules: 8-hour orientation; RN-required modules averaging 12–15 hours must be completed by the Wednesday before start
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Auxiliary tasks such as left and right heart catheterizations, pulmonary artery (Swan-Ganz) monitoring, and related interventions
- Support procedural sedation and monitor patients throughout the case and recovery phase
- Maintain and interpret dysrhythmias; manage monitors and alert teams as needed
- Accurate EPIC documentation and seamless handoffs with the interventional team
- Adherence to unit protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices; response to emergent events as assigned
Requirements
- Active NY State RN license (required at submission)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current prior to starting)
- Minimum 2 years cath lab and interventional radiology (IR) experience
- EPIC charting experience (required)
- Covid-19 vaccine: Not required
- Relias EKG exam: Must be completed within 72 hours after signing and pass with 100%
- Onsite EKG exam: Must achieve 85% with identification of 100% critical rhythms
- Ability to float within the hospital as needed within the scope of cath lab skills
- Pre-approved time off: 1 per contract
- Orientations and required RN modules completed by the specified deadline
- Local residency restrictions apply; eligibility may depend on residency outside a 50-mile radius of Albany, NY
