This position focuses on providing nutrition care to adult and geriatric patients in a short-term acute care environment. Key Responsibilities Assess nutritional needs and develop personalized dietary plans for patients. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding nutritional intake and health. Document patient progress and adjust dietary plans as necessary in the Charting System (Cerner/PowerChart). Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of Dietitian experience required. Experience in short-term acute care preferred. Experience in teaching hospitals, community hospitals, LTAC, and Level I or Level II trauma centers is a plus. Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) certification is required. No Maryland state licensure requirement specified. Additional Information Able to accommodate weekend coverage, negotiable based on availability. No floating within scope required. Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests are permitted per contract. Auto-approval for 14 days or less of requested time off. Availability needed for every other winter and summer holiday; no time off approved on critical days like Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day. Working Conditions Average daily census of 10-12 patients within the Dietary Services unit. Shift: Day shift (5x8 hours), from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM. Scrub color: Purple.
