Travel RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - $2,421 per week

About the role

Travel contract assignment for a Director of Nutrition at an Inpatient Eating Disorder Care Center in Cordova, TN (38018). 13‑week temp‑to‑hire contract, ASAP start. Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8‑hour day shifts. Job ID #2110.

Responsibilities

• Nutrition team leadership and strategy development
• Hire, train, supervise, and coach all members of the nutrition team (or delegate such duties) to ensure effective execution of the nutrition strategy
• Develop and coordinate therapeutic/medical dietary orders with the Medical Director and Director of Nursing
• Work closely with business office, BHTs, and clinical team to implement policies and procedures efficiently
• Ensure nutrition strategy meets requirements of the Academy of Eating Disorders, International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp™), Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and similar authoritative organizations
• Provide weekly supervision and case consultation to nutrition team and executive chef
• Develop and implement training on policies and procedures for supervised eating events
• Direct and contribute to menu and recipe development and modification/optimization
• Coordinate with executive chef to ensure special diet orders (food allergies, intolerances, and other medical nutrition therapies) are ordered and implemented clearly
• Ensure nutrition team members complete all required documentation and reports timely, maintaining compliance with facility policies and Joint Commission accreditation requirements
• Complete comprehensive nutritional assessments for all assigned clients and review assessments completed by RDs
• Develop, supervise, and facilitate nutrition and meal processing groups weekly
• Direct, supervise, and participate in supported food exposures and weekly meal groups with clients in and out of the facility
• Eat a minimum of three meals and three snacks with clients weekly
• Coordinate care with clients’ outpatient treatment teams
• Develop and maintain nutrition component of the EHR (assessments, progress notes, meal/snack notes, pre‑ and post‑processing sheets)
• Utilize EHR to document client care/contact timely per center policy
• Complete documentation for clinical, human resources, and training needs of self and staff

Qualifications

• Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• 2+ years’ experience working as an RD with eating disorder clients
• Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of Tennessee (or ability to obtain licensure within 6 weeks of hire)
• Graduate degree; PhD preferred
• Experience working within a multi‑disciplinary treatment team (eating disorder population highly preferred)
• Passion for working with the eating disorder population
• Previous management/supervisory experience preferred

Pay

Total compensation package for eligible travelers: $2,421 per week ($1,000 taxable + $1,421 non‑taxable). Local hourly rate: $55.00 per hour. Pay package based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
