About the role
This position involves providing nutritional care to adult outpatient and clinical populations within a Level II trauma center's acute care hospital. The role requires expertise in enteral nutrition, total parenteral nutrition, and nutrition assessments, supporting patient recovery and well-being.
Start date: October 19, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks (approximately January 18, 2027).
Responsibilities
- Conducting nutrition assessments and reassessments
- Managing enteral and total parenteral nutrition
- Participating in patient care activities
Requirements
- RD/RDN certification
- Illinois state license
- 1+ year of experience
- Ability to meet work location and schedule requirements
- Preferred: Adult outpatient or clinic experience
- Preferred: Proficiency with enteral and total parenteral nutrition
- Preferred: Experience with nutrition assessments and physical exams
- Certification requirements: AHA and Red Cross certifications (RQI cards not accepted)
- Candidate must be pre‑closed at submission, maintain an active Illinois license, and complete all onboarding modules prior to start

Pay
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
- Shift: 5×8 Days (07:30‑16:00), most often 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
- Weekend rotation: up to 1 every 4 weekends
- Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
