Travel RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - $2,126 per week

About the Role

Travel RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist position at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. 9-week contract with ASAP start. 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM), weekends as needed. No call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform nutrition-focused physical exams
• Manage average patient workload of 10–15 patients per day
• Collaborate with healthcare disciplines (MD, RN, SLP, Diabetes Educators, Case Managers, etc.)
• Cover patients throughout facility as needed
• Utilize iMobile communication app for relaying nutrition recommendations
• Exercise order-writing privileges for oral supplements, diet downgrades, and enteral nutrition modifications (after initial MD order)

Requirements

• Critical care experience
• Experience with adults and geriatrics
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential

Preferred Qualifications

• NICU experience (to support NICU RD during PTO)

Schedule

Department Overview

• 350-bed facility
• 4 full-time RDs in department (including CNM), with 2 open full-time positions
• Day shift need: 1 Clinical Dietitian; night shift not applicable
• Patient ratio: average 10–15 patients per day per RD
• Equipment: iPhones for team communication
• EMR: Meditech
• Permanent positions available on unit
• Dress code: olive green scrubs (moss in FIGS)
• RD office not located in Dietary department
