Travel: Radiology Technologist

13-week travel assignment in Santa Fe, NM. Shift: Days, 8AM - 5:00PM. Start date: ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
• Support other imaging technologists and facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required.
• Troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
• Participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within scope of licensure.
• Adhere to and maintain expected imaging competencies as outlined by management.

• Protect patient confidentiality and only disclose confidential information when necessary for assigned duties.
• Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and developmental needs.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as deemed appropriate by regulatory entities.
• Perform examinations/procedures to assist in patient throughput within the scope of the Manager’s license(s), certification(s), and documented competencies.
• Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS.
• Follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalate issues to the PACS administrator or designee if needed.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel; perform appropriate follow-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a hospital preferred.
• Basic computer experience required.
• Required certifications/licenses:
  • Radiography (R) by ARRT.
  • State Licensure:
    • New Mexico: RRT by MIRTP NMED.
    • Texas: MRT by TMB.
    • Louisiana: LRT (R) or (F) by LSRTBE.
  • BLS certification issued through American Heart Association.
• New Mexico State license required.
• Blocked scheduling accommodated.
• No floating requirement.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8AM - 5PM.
