Travel Radiology Technologist - $2,996 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Kenmare, North Dakota. The position is an immediate travel opening for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring image accuracy for physician interpretation, and preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
• Follow physicians' orders regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging.
• Correctly position the patient and adjust imaging equipment to the appropriate position.
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to self and patient by taking appropriate protection precautions.
• Calibrate imaging equipment.
• Prepare results for physician review.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (R) National Certification.
• State-specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
