About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment at a 636-bed, Magnet-designated Level III Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities including fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
- Assist in complex surgical and procedural imaging, including ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, urology cases, and OR cases (ortho, general, spine).
- Operate and maintain equipment such as GE, Fuji, and Del Medical X-ray systems; GE 9900 and Elite C-arms; Medtronic O-arms; and McKesson PACS.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, Epic.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and quality care.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
- Provide patient education and support during imaging procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of acute or surgical Radiology experience required; most recent experience must be within the last year.
- Active ARRT certification required.
- Wisconsin Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Proficiency in surgical/procedural imaging, general radiography, and portable X-ray.
- Experience with fluoroscopy procedures (ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic, urology).
- Experience with OR imaging including ortho, general, and spine procedures; comfort with O-arm preferred.
- Mid-to-high level acute care hospital experience required.
- At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, dated within the last year, required for consideration.
