About the role

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Bismarck, ND. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
  • Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging.
  • Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to the appropriate position.
  • Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to the patient by taking appropriate protection precautions.
  • Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for Physician review.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • ARRT (R) National Certification.
  • State-specific licensing when required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
