Travel Radiology Technologist - $2,486 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel position in Duluth, Minnesota, working 40 hours per week on 8-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• 1 year of experience
• BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• ARRT (R), BLS, 2 years (additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment)
