Travel Radiology Technologist - $2,358 per week

About the role

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist requiring O-arm and neuro OR experience for a 13-week assignment across two hospital campuses. The role works across Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC and Berkley Hospital in Summerville, SC. Schedule is Tuesday through Friday, four 10-hour shifts (0700‑1730) with call and holiday coverage required. The technologist will work in both the OR and on the floor as a staff tech as needed, uses Cerner for charting, and may float to a sister hospital nearby. The assignment starts Oct 12, 2026, lasts 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, with one opening.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures under medical supervision of certified radiologists for direct interpretation results
• Assists radiologists on procedures as needed and supervises student Radiologic Technologists
• Instructs and prepares patients regarding imaging procedures and assists with informed consent
• Communicates with radiologists and family members regarding procedures and discharge instructions
• Practices radiation safety in accordance with ALARA principles
• Ensures correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system

Requirements

• ARRT Radiography (R) certification required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Active SC or compact radiography license required
• South Carolina Radiation Quality Standard Association (SCRQSA) Radiographer Certification required
• High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Allied Health Professionals program preferred
• O-arm and neuro OR experience required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
• Demonstrated ability to perform and teach radiologic exams to produce diagnostic images
• Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
