About the role
Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a position in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This is an overnight shift role with a schedule of 12-hour nights, three nights per week, plus one shift of call per month.
Responsibilities
- Apply principles of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, and patient positioning.
- Work as part of a team and follow instructions while consistently and dependably reporting to work as scheduled.
- Address patients' physical and psychological needs with sensitivity.
- Maintain accurate records and work precisely with names, numbers, and codes.
- Draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
- Exercise discretion in handling confidential information and sound judgment.
- Multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations.
- Understand various operations, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate professionally, politely, and compassionately with staff, patients, and their families.
- Demonstrate initiative, effort, and commitment toward completing assignments efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Apply core-level knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy, physiology, and specialty-specific technologies and terminology.
Requirements
- Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty or graduate of a JRCERT accredited educational program with emphasis in a radiologic technology specialty.
- Must meet eligibility requirements and published standards for ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI in the cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty required by the hiring department (achieved within 12 months of hire date).
- AHA BLS certification.
