About the role

Immediate opening for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) in Morristown, NJ. The Rad Tech operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce accurate images for physician interpretation, prepares and cares for patients undergoing radiologic procedures, and ensures radiation safety for both patient and self.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients with reassurance and support
• Follow physician orders regarding the anatomical area to be imaged
• Correctly position the patient and adjust imaging equipment to the appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to self and patient through proper protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for physician review and maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (note: one section cites 2 years)
• BLS certification
• ARRT (R) National Certification
• State‑specific licensing where required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment start

Pay

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
