About the role

Radiologic technologists specialize in x-ray and computed tomography (CT) imaging. They perform x-rays and other diagnostic imaging examinations on patients. MRI technologists operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to create diagnostic images.

Responsibilities

  • Perform x-ray and CT imaging examinations on patients
  • Operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols
  • Document patient information accurately and securely
  • Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff

Requirements

  • Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Experience in acute care setting preferred
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and protection
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
  • Passing score on the Registry Examination for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) or equivalent

Skills

  • Proficiency in x-ray and CT equipment operation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational skills

Pay
