Travel assignment for a Radiology Technologist in Eureka, California.
About the role
This is a 13-week travel position starting 08/10/2026 at an acute-care hospital with 150 staffed beds. The facility uses Epic for charting and provides free parking on the first day.
Schedule
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts
- Block schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (3×12’s)
- On-call required
- Must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Traveler may be required to float between the hospital and nearby affiliate facilities
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures including abdomen (decubitus, supine, upright), chest, extremities, spine, skull, orbits, pelvis, and contrast studies
- Operate C-arm, portable X-ray equipment, and PACS
- Administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs
- Work in various settings: adult acute care, emergency department, ICU, NICU, PICU, operating room, and outpatient
- Complete non-billable modules (average 16 hours pre-start and annually)
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification
- California state license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Fluoroscopy certification
- Experience with Epic charting system
- Experience in a community hospital setting
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Valid CA license and certifications must be provided at submission
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
- SSN, DOB, and right-to-work documents required at submission
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius (may receive lower bill rate)
- Returning staff must wait 3 months before taking another travel assignment with this facility
