About the role
The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist operates ionizing equipment to produce radiographs of body regions for diagnostic purposes, as ordered by a licensed medical provider. Evaluates radiographs to acquire appropriate diagnostic information and uses independent judgment to acquire the optimum information for each examination performed. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with patients and an interdisciplinary health care team. Effectively follows established departmental procedures, works efficiently, and demonstrates the ability to navigate emergent situations.
Responsibilities
- Operate ionizing equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs of body regions
- Evaluate radiographs to ensure appropriate diagnostic information is acquired
- Use independent judgment to optimize each examination
- Communicate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary health care teams
- Follow established departmental procedures and work efficiently

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited 24-month course of study program in Radiologic Technology
- Active Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Active Radiologic Technologist License in the State of Montana with the Board of Radiologic Technologists
- Evidence of compliance with ARRT continuing education requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
