Travel Radiology Technologist - $2,186 per week

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for an assignment in Asheville, North Carolina.

About the role

This is an immediate travel opening for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) with a duration of 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, on a 10-hour day shift.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
• Follow orders from physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging.
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to the appropriate position.
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to yourself and the patient by taking appropriate protection precautions.
• Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physician review.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ARRT (R) National Certification.
• State-specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
