Travel Radiology Technologist - $2,142 per week
About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week evening shift assignment in Brownsville, TX. The Radiology department is in a 214-bed acute care hospital and is very busy, requiring 24/7 coverage with a team of 11 technologists.
Procedures include all standard X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR imaging, using GE imaging equipment and the Meditech EMR system. The shift is Monday through Friday, evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with weekend shifts may be required depending on scheduling needs.
Responsibilities
The role involves working in a fast-paced Radiology department, performing standard X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR imaging procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent radiology technologist experience (allied candidates must have at least 6 months of experience within the last 6 months)
- Active ARRT registry required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- License required if applicable
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Qualifications
Bilingual candidates are preferred and will be given priority consideration. Team-oriented candidates are the best fit for this department.
Skills
Experience with GE imaging equipment and Meditech EMR system is preferred.
