Travel Radiology Technologist - $2,122 per week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a travel position with 40 hours per week on a 10-hour, day shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to the appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to both yourself and the patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for physician review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARRT (R) National Certification
• State-specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
