Travel Radiology Technologist - $2,073 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The position is for an immediate opening in Pittsburgh, PA, requiring a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) with at least 1 year of experience. The role falls under the Allied Health Professional specialty, with a duration of 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour rotating shifts, and travel employment type.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to the appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to the patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience
• Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state‑specific licensing when required
• Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
• Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• ARRT (R), BLS, 2 Years (additional note)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
