Travel Radiology Technologist - $1,922 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in State College, Pennsylvania. The position requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour evening shifts. As a Rad Tech you will operate diagnostic imaging equipment, ensure image quality, prepare and care for patients, and use the McKesson PACS system.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
• Explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support
• Follow physicians’ orders regarding the body area to be imaged
• Correctly position patients and adjust imaging equipment to the appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to self and patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for physician review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (some notes indicate 2 years may be required)
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (R) National Certification
• State‑specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
