Travel Radiology Technician - $2,392 per week
About the role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technician for a 13-week assignment in Salem, Massachusetts. This is an immediate opening for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) with 1 year of experience, working 40 hours per week on an 8-hour night shift as a travel allied health professional.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
- Follow physician orders regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging.
- Correctly position the patient and adjust imaging equipment to the appropriate position.
- Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to yourself and the patient by taking appropriate protection precautions.
- Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physician review.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ARRT (R) National Certification.
- State-specific licensing when required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
Pay
Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
