Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort and safety
- Position patients and equipment to obtain optimal images
- Follow radiation safety procedures and protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and quality assurance standards
- Assist with interventional procedures as needed
- Provide excellent patient care and communication throughout the imaging process
Requirements
- Active and valid state radiology technician license or certification (ARRT preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Radiology Technician in an acute care hospital setting
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in various healthcare settings and travel assignments
Schedule
- Shift: 1400-2230 (14:00 - 22:30)
- 40 hours per week, with guaranteed hours as per contract
