Travel Radiology Technician - $2,110 per week

About the role

This position involves operating radiology equipment to produce diagnostic images, assisting patients through procedures, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The role requires adherence to established radiologic requirements and collaboration within a healthcare environment to support patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, position them correctly, and operate radiologic equipment according to protocols.
• Ensure radiation safety, maintain equipment, and document procedures accurately.
• Support infection control policies, assist with patient monitoring, and uphold professional standards established by relevant societies.
• Participate in departmental education and quality improvement activities.
• Initiate patient comfort measures, ensure informed consent, and participate in invasive procedures with sterile technique when required.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and maintain inventory levels.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (ARRT-R).
• BLS through AHA.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Knowledge of digital radiography (DR) and/or computerized radiography (CR) equipment, techniques, and protocols.
• Zero (0) to six (6) months of related experience.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team and independently with a positive attitude.
• Basic computer skills required and capable of wearing lead aprons for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Level 1 Trauma Experience (preferred).
• Epic system proficiency (preferred).
