About the role

The organization is seeking an X-ray Technologist to perform general radiography and support high-acuity imaging needs across multiple care areas, including emergency, operating room, main department, and bedside portable exams. This role requires strong trauma readiness, comfort with high patient acuity, and effective teamwork in a teaching environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general X-ray imaging including head, neck, spine, extremities, abdomen, hands, feet, and chest
  • Support trauma patients and bedside portable imaging
  • Operate C-arm and potentially O-arm equipment
  • Assist with operating room imaging for spinal, orthopedic, general surgery, neuro, and pediatric procedures
  • Rotate across emergency department, operating room, and main department as assigned
  • Precept x-ray students (depending on experience)

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • ARRT-R certification
  • At least 2 years of acute care experience
  • Experience with trauma level I, II, or III
  • General X-ray imaging experience
  • Comfort with high-acuity patients and bedside portable imaging
  • C-arm experience
  • EPIC experience
  • Must bring license on the first day

Preferred Qualifications

  • O-arm experience
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork attitude

Additional Information

  • High-acuity imaging environment in a teaching setting
  • Rotation shift-by-shift for area stationed (ED, OR, Main)
  • No call requirement
  • Holiday coverage applies when on the normal scheduled day
  • Weekend rotations are assigned per contract (do not rotate between weekends and weekdays)
  • Departmental orientation includes facility and department tours with introductions (up to 5 days, flexible based on needs)

Schedule

  • Nights
  • 8-hour shifts
  • 40 hours per week (minimum)
