Job Summary

Xray Technologist Nights. This position requires a professional skilled in general diagnostic radiology, with a thorough knowledge of departmental protocols and policies. The role involves ensuring the accuracy of patient data, performing quality radiographic images, and effectively utilizing radiology systems to support diagnostic imaging procedures.

Certifications, Education, and Experience

  • ARRT Certified in Radiography, with an accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • No prior experience required.

Schedule

  • Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of general diagnostic radiology and adheres to departmental protocols.
  • Ensures patient identification and history verification, prepares and critiques images, transmits images to PACS, and documents all procedures appropriately.
  • Maintains equipment and ensures a clean, safe work environment.
  • Assesses patient physical condition, responds to emergencies, and supports patient safety.
  • Reacts appropriately to emergency situations and ensures all imaging is performed efficiently and accurately.

Additional Information

  • Candidates should be proficient in portables and familiar with RIS, PACS, HIS, and SMS systems.
  • They will review daily schedules, verify demographic and pregnancy status, and assist patients requiring extra attention.
  • Reporting equipment issues and suggestions for process improvements are part of the role.
